Role and key duties

Dieticians educate groups and individuals on appropriate diets, menu planning and preparation of food to treat an illness or disease and/or to enhance and maintain optimum health.

Duties may include: managing nutrition and food services in institutions or the community; and advising the food industry.

Minimum qualification required

Completion of a Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.

Recommended qualification

Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.
