Disability development and support officer

Role and key duties

Disability development and support officers establish the needs of people with disabilities and develop education and/or training programs.

Duties may include: talking to a wide range of stakeholders including parents, residential care workers, community groups, employers and other interested people.

Minimum qualification required

Completion of a Certificate IV in Disability Work.

Recommended qualification

Degree in Health Science with majors in People, Society and Disability.
