Role and key duties

Financial planners provide budget and financial analysis and advice to senior management and Ministers across a range of whole-of-government and departmental issues.

Duties may include: performance and financial reporting; and research and reporting on major strategic reviews.

Minimum qualification required

Completion of an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning).

Recommended qualification

Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Economics or Actuarial Studies.
