Financial analyst

Role and key duties

Financial analysts gather information, assemble spreadsheets, write reports and review all non-legal pertinent information about prospective deals. They examine the feasibility of a deal and prepare a plan of action based on financial analysis. Being an analyst requires a vigilant awareness of financial trends.

Duties may include: supporting initial report set-up by participating in reviews and review of invoicing data against actual costs in the finance system; preparation and reporting on the financial analysis of project data; preparing cost forecast profiles for the customer; ensuring the matching of cash received from the customer to payments made to suppliers(in particular foreign currency); ensuring escalation calculation is correct; providing quality financial services and support relating to asset management, forecasting and budget management activities; and ensuring the integrity of actual costs through analysis.

Minimum qualification required

Completion of a Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Actuarial Studies.
