Accounts payable/receivable officer

Role and key duties

Accounts payable officers are responsible for paying for goods and services provided.

Duties may include: processing supplier payments; maintaining files of open orders and invoices; and answering supplier questions. Accounts receivable staff issue invoices and are responsible for collecting and reporting on money owed.

Minimum qualification required

Completion of a Certificate III in Financial Services or a Certificate III in Business.

Recommended qualification

Certificate III in Financial Services (Accounts Clerical) or Certificate III in Business.
