Role and key duties
Geoscience engineers explore specific areas of the earth to work out its structure and the types of rocks or minerals that exist.
Duties may include: studying rock cores and samples; studying geostatistics and sampling theory; determining the economic viability of extracting earth resources; and advising on the geological suitability of sites for structures such as tunnels, roads and bridges.
Minimum qualification required
Completion of a Degree in Engineering.
