Role and key duties
Environmental engineers provide advice on matters relating to environmental legislation, policies and guidelines in particular as they apply to flora, fauna, weed control, biodiversity, cultural heritage, water quality, air, noise, archaeology, Aboriginal archaeology and heritage, community liaison and generalenvironmental issues.
Duties may include: raising awareness of environmental issues; promoting sound environmental practices; ensuring that all road projects meet environmental requirements; and providing advice to ensure that the delivery of projects is consistent with environmental legislation, guidelines and policies.
Minimum qualification required
Completion of a Degree in Environmental Engineering.
