Role and key duties
Occupational health and safety officers promote occupational health and safety in an organisation.
Duties may include: inspecting machinery and equipment; ensuring compliance with workplace safety legislation; helping to investigate accidents and recommending remedial action; and conducting safety training for managers and employees.
Minimum qualification required
Completion of a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Health Science.
