Policy developer

Role and key duties

Policy developers create plans to guide decisions and achieve goals in education.

Duties may include: identifying strengths and weaknesses of current policy; advising on why new policy is sought and the risks, costs and benefits in the implementation of new policy; and consulting with all relevant groups affected by policy change, for example, educational institutions, parents, students and teachers.

Minimum qualification required

Completion of a Degree in the field of specialisation.
