Role and key duties

Buyers are involved in planning to support the promotional calendar, managing markdowns and day-to-day inventory management.

Duties may include: sale and purchase of goods, financial management of the order book; and responsibility for the inventory budget.

Minimum qualification required

Completion of Year 12 or equivalent (including VCE, VCAL or Certificate II VET sector accreditation).

Recommended qualification

Certificate IV in Purchasing and/or Diploma of Purchasing.
