Role and key duties

Inspectors/licensing officers issue licences and permits to enforce relevant law and regulations in a wide range of areas including fishing, wildlife, building, use of heavy machinery and boating.

Duties may include: working with government bodies in reviewing current legislation; developing new legislation; conducting testing for the relevant licence or permit; and conducting reference checks prior to issuing licences or permits.

Minimum qualification required

Completion of a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in field of specialisation.

Recommended qualification

Degree in field of specialisation.
