Policy officer

Role and key duties

Policy officers research and advise on a range of policy solutions including environmental, social or economic policy.

Duties may include: reviewing existing policies and legislation to identify anomalies and out-of-date provisions; researching social, economic and industrial trends and client expectations of programs and services provided; developing and analysing policy options, and advising on preferred options; assessing thefinancial implications and fairness of policies; and liaising and consulting with program administrators and other interested parties to identify policy needs.

Minimum qualification required

Completion of a Degree in Arts, Business, Law or Economics.

Degree in Arts, Business, Law or Economics.
