Legal policy adviser/analyst

Role and key duties

Legal policy advisers/analysts conduct legislation reviews, advise on complex legal and policy issues and prepare and present briefing papers for Ministers and members of parliament.

Duties may include: working with teams to develop policy proposals and legislation; and consulting effectively with the government in the development of policy proposals.

Minimum qualification required

Completion of a Degree in Law.

Recommended qualification

Degree in Law.
