Role and key duties

Valuers appraise the monetary value of land and buildings.

Duties may include: examining items and selecting methods of evaluation; calculating values by considering market demand, condition of items, future trends and other factors; submitting written assessments of value; providing consultancy advice on valuation matters; giving evidence in legal proceedings and mediation on valuation matters; and providing rental valuations for arbitration purposes.

Minimum qualification required

Completion of a Degree in Applied Science with a major in Property or a Degree in Planning and Design with a major in Property Construction.
